Corrie's Ruxandra Porojnicu 'open to offers' as she discusses being single

Coronation Street star Ruxandra Porojnicu has spoken about her love life away from the ITV soap, saying that she is ‘open to offers’ of romance.

The 28-year-old, who plays Alina Pop in the show, also said that she is ‘too busy’ to look for love as she discussed being single. 

The actress’s character Alina is loved-up with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) on the soap, but things are quite different in real life.

‘I’m single and it’s OK,’ she said. ‘I’ve been too busy lately to find someone, but I’m open to offers!’

‘Sometimes we go out for a drink after work but it doesn’t happen often,’ she told The Sun’s TV Magazine. ‘When we do, we have such a good time.’

Alina also spoke about her co-star Alan, who ‘always has a bag of jokes’.

The Romanian actress rose to fame for playing Alina on the cobbles, having joined the show back in 2019. 

Fans will be thrilled to hear that Alina will be on screen for the forseeable future too, after her contract was reportedly extended, along with Charlotte Jordan (Daisy Midgeley).

Ruxandra recently received an influx of love from fans after announcing that she won’t be taking part in the London Marathon this year due to personal reasons.

The Alina Pop actress ran the marathon last year in aid of the Salvation Army and was hoping to run again, especially as she raised thousands.

However, issuing a statement on social media, the 28-year-old explained: ‘Just a quick update about this year’s Ldn marathon. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to run it again because of some personal matters. I’m gutted as I was really looking forward to push my limits, train hard and raise more money for #teamsallyarmy.

‘Hopefully, In the future I will get other opportunities to be of help to this wonderful organisation who are giving a second chance to a better life to so many people.
