EastEnders' Keanu Taylor star Danny Walters has teased what is coming up next on the hit BBC One soap.
The actor, 30, appeared on Thursday's episode of ITV chat show Lorraine to discuss his ongoing and future storylines where topic got onto Christmas 2023.
Fans will recall that earlier this year, EastEnders released a first look at the 2023 Christmas episode in a flashforward scene in a BBC One soap first.
The scene saw six of Walford’s much loved matriarchs, Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean ), Stacey ( Lacey Turner ) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) faced with a dead body.
In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a man, wearing amber cufflinks, lying on the floor.
Not much was said between the six of them, but Stacey was covered in blood, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body, confirming the person was dead.
However, it’s unclear whose body it is and what’s happened to them…
Discussing the upcoming scenes, host Christine Lampard pointed out: "You genuinely don't know who this person is?"
To which Keanu star Danny replied: "I wish I could say something and I think it's probably better that I don't know, sometimes I can probably put my foot in it! But yeah, none of us know, I definitely don't know.
"What's really interesting and it's been really fun, actually, being a part of this show and storyline is that the audience and fans they love to be detectives and work out who it is, like Cluedo, so I'm part of that experience!
"Whatever they're feeling, I'm also feeling, so I'm working out the cufflinks, little things in background shots, obviously Sharon's in a wedding dress!
"It's just fantastic, who it could be, Chris Clenshaw, producer and the writers, definitely going to start planting a few seeds along the way of maybe where my character will wear the cufflinks, [then they're] passed onto Alfie, then Mitch, then other characters along the way.
"We all have our theories of who it could be. Everyone's got to tune in to find out!"
EastEnders continues every Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
