PADDY Kirk has been left devastated after his pregnant girlfriend Chas Dingle revealed she is having an abortion.

The vet – who is played by actor Dominic Brunt in the ITV soap – was left looking utterly broken at the end of tonight’s episode when he was forced to defend Chas’ decision to have a termination to her mother Faith, before revealing he wanted the baby with a sweet gesture.

Pulling out a child’s toy sheep from his pocket, Paddy played the toy which baad to sound like “dad” and said: “I love you.”

Spoilers have revealed how the Woolpack landlady – who is played by actress Lucy Pargeter in the ITV soap – discovered she was pregnant with boyfriend Paddy Kirk’s baby last week but has decided she doesn’t want to continue with the pregnancy.

Having made an appointment with a clinic to see her options, Chas and Paddy seem to be in agreement about what to do – but it seems both are only trying to do what they think the other wants.

However, Chas is left determined to have a termination after her mother Faith tries to get her to consider keeping the baby.

Lashing out in the pub, Chas tells her mother: “You’re the last person I need to explain myself to about that.

“And before you say I was a lousy mother to Aaron, too, I was, yes because I got that from you.

“Which is a very good reason not to have another baby.

“This is really about you, isn’t it? You mean you’re different now so me and Cain should just forget about what a lousy mother you were.

“Well I’m sorry, no can do. We both have to live with messing up our kids’ childhood.”

Later, Chas speaks to Paddy who, despite not wanting her to terminate the pregnancy, supports her in whatever decision she makes.

As the pair dance around each other, thinking they both want a termination, Chas tells him she’s fine and that it’s “what they both want”.

Supportive Paddy tells her: “Doesn’t mean it’s easy. You know you don’t have to pretend it is.”

And when Paddy starts to play with toddler Moses, it seems that Chas is having second thoughts but will either of them admit what they want and what decision will they come to in the end?
