Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate says the experience left her "paranoid" in warning for new line-up

Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Ashley James has issued a warning for this year’s line-up of stars.

The Made in Chelsea star admitted her experience on last year’s series left her “paranoid” and “uptight” after being in the house for too long.

“When I took part in the show last year, it was a fantastic experience, but it can be really tough,” she told Closer (via MailOnline). “I became a bit paranoid, oversensitive and uptight after being in there for so long.”

In the interview, Ashley also hit back at accusations that her relationship in the house with Ginuwine was a ‘showmance’.

“Before I went in, I was conscious that I didn’t want a relationship because people are so quick to label it a ‘showmance’ and think you just want airtime,” she said.

“But Ginuwine and I had a connection, and if you feel that with someone, you can’t fight it because it’s so intense. I never thought I’d be attracted to a 47-year-old father-of-nine with grandchildren – but I was!”

Anticipation is sky-high for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, which is due to begin later this week. You can check out all the latest housemate rumours here.

The latest big hint is that adult film star Stormy Daniels will be entering the house following a teaser clip from the show’s Twitter account.

No doubt if true it will cause quite a few headlines, especially as she has reportedly signed up to the show to reveal all about an alleged affair with US president Donald Trump.

Celebrity Big Brother returns Thursday, August 16 at 9pm on Channel 5.
