Gemma Collins splashes out £3,195 on incredible life-size giraffe chandelier

GEMMA Collins has splashed out £3,195 on a giant giraffe chandelier

The TOWIE legend, 40, said she was "over the moon" with the 2.7metres tall white giraffe, holding a Marie-Therese style chandelier in its mouth.

Italian designer Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba created the standout piece which Gemma has positioned in her living room between two pink sofas.

"Guys, I'm so over the moon," Gemma told her fans on her Instagram stories, before explaining the planned spot for the giraffe would be to hang over the railing of her mezzanine.

"Look at the stunning lamp."

But they ran into a snag when the giraffe appeared too tall to fit under the ceiling on that level.

"Back down to its original place," she wrote as the giraffe took pride of place back down in the living room.

Gemma splashed out £1.3m for her glass-fronted house in May, with open-plan kitchen and floor to ceiling windows.

She is slowly turning into “Buckingham Palace of Essex," The Sun revealed earlier this year.

Gemma called in property developer, interior designer and fellow reality TV star pal Dawn Ward to mastermind the transformation.

Former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn runs Arista Design from her own £14 million palace in Cheshire and now she’s about to sprinkle the magic dust on the GC’s pad.

A pal revealed: “Dawn’s designs are jaw-dropping and life changing. She’s going to make Gemma’s house the Buckingham Palace of Essex.

“It is going to be off the scale when she and her team have finished the work. Even the GC will be lost for words.”

Dawn’s firm has helped design the interiors of multi-million homes in London and Cheshire, plus a clothes franchise in Harrods.

She's decked out the home with signature pieces of furniture in her favourite colour, pink.
