The start date for the all-stars series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been confirmed by ITV.

The hit jungle series will begin on Monday April 24 and air for three weeks on weekdays.

ITV wrote on Twitter: "Confirmed: I'm A Celebrity…South Africa starts Monday 24 April at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX."

The explosive teaser shows iconic campmates including Amir Khan, Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson as they prepare to take on the jungle once again, but this time in South Africa.

Despite the new location, iconic aspects of the hit series will remain the same as the celebrities can be seen taking on some familiar trials.

Ex-Countdown presenter Carol will take on The Ledge, former royal butler Paul Burrell will relive his fears in Hell Holes, while Janice and Jordan Banjo can be seen taking part in the dreaded eating trial.

Discussing the show's epic return, Ant called the experience a "dream".

He said: "It's a question we always get asked…who would you bring back to the jungle? So to get this opportunity to make a brand new show in South Africa and put some of our previous campmates through their paces again was the dream."

Dec added: "It's bigger and wilder than we could have hoped for so viewers are in for a real treat!"

In the first ever all-stars series, the celebrities will compete against each other to remain in camp and one will eventually be crowned the ultimate I'm A Celebrity champion.

Other jungle legends confirmed in the line-up are Shaun Ryder, Olympian Fatima Whitbread, ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell and Corrie star Helen Flanagan.

This series is set to be the toughest one yet.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before.

“The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving.”
