As Emmerdale star Danny Miller read out the letter, there wasn’t a dry eye in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! “pub”. But those watching from home were sobbing over the ITV show too, with many claiming they couldn’t “cope” with the emotional moment. It came after David has expressed on several occasions how upset he’d been to miss out on his letter from home. Along with EastEnders veteran Adam Woodyatt, he found his message hidden in the Christmas tree at a makeshift pub the campmates enjoyed as a treat.

As they took in the delights of the castle pub, Danny discovered two letters in the tree.

“Danny, stop crying,” David said as the actor became emotional before opening the letter.

The former footballer joked: “It’s in French, so concentrate.”

Danny opened the letter and read: “Hi love, I miss you more with every second that passes, the time is so long, we can’t wait for you to come back to us.

“There is a big void at home without you.

“Everything is fine here. Eva asks after you every day, she misses you so much.

She loves her daddy, her David, very, very much.

“Eva and I watch you on TV as often as possible, I love to see you support your campmates and take care of Danny.”

Former BBC Breakfast journalist Lousie Minchin read out Adam’s letter from his daughter.

It didn’t take long for viewers to join the celebrities as they became emotional.

Twitter use Jade wrote: “IM CRYING ALL OVER MY KEBAB #imaceleb YOU KNOW ITS BAD WHEN “IM CRYING” IS TRENDING ON TWITTER.”

Ryan Glendenning penned: “What a lovely letter for David. That was emotional. #ImACeleb.”

Tayaba commented: “Can’t cope with Danny and David together it’s just ADORABLE!

“This episode is the best of the series so far. That is all #imaceleb.”

“Why am i crying at Ian Beale #ImACeleb,” Emma Harrison shared.

Michelle Pryde commented: “YAY! Finally Adam & David got their letters #ImACeleb.

Stephen remarked: “How sweet #ImACeleb.”

Kaylee added: “These letters get me every time #ImACeleb.” (sic)

Louise was the fifth to leave the castle after receiving the fewest public votes, following Naughty Boy, Arlene Phillips, Kadeena Cox and Snoochie Shy.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Friday at 9pm on ITV.
