Joey Essex has appeared to confirm a potential romance with his Dancing On Ice pro partner Vanessa Bauer.

The skating duo have been rumoured to be growing closer behind-the-scenes, and were previously snapped cosying up at TV Choice Awards in November.

And during Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, Joey, 32, was grilled about the romance rumours, where he appeared to let slip some flirty details.

The former TOWIE star said: "I'm open, I'll answer, the truth is obviously… I'm single, Vanessa is single, you know. We go to the ice every day, it's cold, got to keep each other warm… do you know what I mean? So that's it really… yeah, it's all good."

To which host Susanna Reid pointed out: "Hold on, it sounds like you're not single and she's not single? It sounds like you're both together?"

With a blushing Joey replying: "No comment, can't confirm but we are both single, right now, we're taking it slowly, it's all good."

Susanna, 52, added: "Well congratulations, that's lovely!" with Joey adding: "I am not confirming nothing!"

To which the host pointed out viewers may have heard differently and will have spotted his "soft spot" for the skating pro.

With Joey adding: "Of course I do [have a soft spot], who wouldn't? Vanessa is lovely!"

It comes as the reality star confirmed that the pair have been flirting during training.

In a VT before his first skate on Dancing On Ice, he said: "Vanessa is single, I'm single. There's gonna be a bit of flirting going on."

He could also be seen asking his dance partner: "How do we keep in touch? Can I get your number?"

After their impressive performance, Joey continued to flirt with Vanessa, as presenter Holly Willoughby said the TV star "looked to be enjoying himself" to which he looked towards his partner and replied: "She's easy on the eye."

"And she's a very good skater!" Holly added, as Joey appeared to blush.

Viewers at home appeared to be rather taken with the skating duo's chemistry, with one tweeting: "Ok so I ship joey & Vanessa #DancingOnIce"

While a different fan joked: "Joey treating dancing on ice like a dating show can’t blame him though Vanessa is stunning."
