Love Island's four final couples mobbed by tearful fans as they return to UK and finally get back on social media

Winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer were drinking champagne on the plane to celebrate their victory and posed up for cameras when they arrived back in the UK.

Josh, Kaz, Megan and Wes also clowned around on the plane – and held hands as they left the plane on the tarmac.

The couples were met by ITV2 cameras as they walked down the steps of the plane – and looked overwhelmed at the attention.

Still wearing their Love Island villa clothes, the final four couples beamed as they were greeted on the tarmac.

It's been a big day for the contestants as they were mobbed by fans at the airport in Spain before boarding.

Winner Dani, 22, even had one young fan burst into tears when it was her turn to have a photo, while another hysterical admirer couldn't hide her excitement as she posed for a snap with Wes Nelson.

Despite their lives being documented for the past eight weeks, the group continued to keep fans in the loop as they shared clips of their journey back home.

Sharing a mini bus to the airport, Kazimir Crossley shared a cheeky boomerang clip of winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer catching flies as they cutely caught up on their sleep after last night's raucous finale party.

"On our way home," Kaz wrote across the clip, which came shortly after Jack posted a clip in which he joked Dani was a random hook-up.

"I've just pulled a bird in Magaluf," he quipped, before Dani burst into laughter.

The cheeky comment was also seemingly a confirmation that the pair had finally been intimate after Dani refused to have sex in the televised villa.

And if the finalists hadn't yet realised just how famous they have become, it would have been apparent when they were met at the airport by loads of screaming fans.

Documenting the carnage on his Instagram story, Wes Nelson showed queues of people waiting to have their pictures taken with them, writing: "This is a madness."

The 20-year-old engineer also shared a snap of himself and Megan cosying up for a photo in the airport, writing: "Wow! Cannot believe this whole experience has come to an end!

"Who’d have thought I’d be flying home today with the most beautiful girlfriend by my side, and having made so many friends for life!??

"We are both so happy to be able to carry on this amazing love story outside in the real world❤
"A massive thank you to everyone who has shown their support over the last 8 weeks! The positivity I’m seeing is amazing and can’t thank you enough, it means the world!??"
