Naga Munchetty was back with her regular co-star Charlie Stayt on BBC Breakfast today and when crossing to Carol Kirkwood for a weather update, a massive blunder occurred. Those watching at home usually see a lot of banter and jokes passed between the presenter and meteorologist, but today, Carol was left squirming after a remark Naga made.
Following Nina Warhurst’s business segment, Charlie said: “6.27 you’re watching Breakfast.
“Still to come this morning, so it has been closed for the longest time since World War II.
“Today, after 165 days, we’ll be live at the British Museum as it reopens!”
“That’s going to be discussed shortly, and of course, all the latest news,” Naga took over.
“Time now is 28 minutes past six.
“Matt has the weather for us this morning – no Carol has the weather for us!” Naga remarked, quickly trying to recover from her mistake,
“Good morning! Sorry about that!” she apologised to Carol.
“We could be twins, we could be twins Naga!” the meteorologist replied.
“Matt and myself; we’re interchangeable.”
“He’s far better looking, you couldn’t,” Naga hit back.
“Anyway good morning everybody, let’s move on!” Carol said before devliving into the latest on the storm hitting the UK.
