NCIS 2021: Fans furious as latest NCIS LA episode pulled from CBS schedule

NCIS: Los Angeles trailer for ‘A Fait Accompli’

The latest outing from the 12th season of NCIS: Los Angeles unfortunately won’t be hitting screens for a couple of weeks as the CBS series takes another short hiatus. Current episodes of the action-packed hit are being staggered for a variety of reasons, including delays brought on by coronavirus, so fans will have to put up with another repeat episode this week.

Viewers were let down by the ongoing 12th season of NCIS: Los Angeles this week as CBS opted to air an earlier outing rather than following up on last episode’s shocking cliffhangers.

Production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as CBS’s AFC Championship games, have meant the hit series will be taking a break for almost a month.

Therefore, the tenth episode of season 12, The Frogman’s Daughter, won’t be hitting screens until Sunday, February 14th.

Once fans discovered NCIS: LA won’t be returning this week, they quickly took to social media to vent their frustrations.

On Twitter, one fan posted a picture of newly recruited NCIS agent Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) looking despondent to represent their reaction.

They captioned the image: “My mood every Sunday there’s no new episode of NCIS: LA on.”

Meanwhile, another fan lamented: “15 more days before our next new episode… Sigh.”

The continuing four-week break has been particularly frustrating considering where the latest episode, A Fait Accompli, left off.

G Callen (Chris O’Donnell) will have a desperate search on his hands as his plans to propose to his girlfriend, Anna (Bar Paly), were sabotaged by her disappearance.

Elsewhere, his partner Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) has an equally personal mission on his hands when the series eventually returns.

As the repeated episode aired, viewers who hadn’t been keeping up with CBS’s TV schedule were displeased when they realised they couldn’t live-tweet during a new case.

Luckily, devoted fans have been given something to chew on in the meantime, as CBS have released a number of intriguing stills from the next episode.

A synopsis for the next adventure, The Frogman’s Daughter, read: “When Sam’s daughter, Kam, is kidnapped after leading citywide protests, he will stop at nothing to find her.”

Episode ten will pick up right where last week’s instalment left off, with Kam (Kayla Smith) being kidnapped during her trip to LA to visit her father, Sam Hanna (LL Cool J).

New images have revealed Sam’s daughter trapped behind bars, while her father takes on a potential suspect in another screenshot.

Plus, Deeks is finally reunited with his wife Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), who both seem to be getting ready for a citywide protest Sam’s daughter was supposed to take part in.

Relative newcomer Fatima Namazi (Medalion Rahimi) also seems to be getting a lot of play in the next outing, as one image sees the special agent checking out what could be a crime scene.

Sadly, NCIS’s mainline series, and its New Orleans offshoot, will also be taking a break this week.

NCIS: NOLA will air the second half of its two-part episode, Leda and the Swan, on Valentine’s Day, along with NCIS: LA.

Thankfully, the flagship series will bring Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team back a little earlier, with a new episode for season 18 coming to CBS on Tuesday, February 9.

NCIS: Los Angeles airs Sundays on CBS.
