Gronk previously appeared at WrestleMania 33 as reinforcement for his friend, wrestler Mojo Rawley
Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has officially signed with WWE, an insider told TheWrap exclusively. The ex-NFL great is set to debut on next week’s “Friday Night SmackDown” on Fox.
News that Gronk was near a deal with WWE was first reported on Tuesday night by Ryan Satin on FS1’s “WWE Backstage” series.
The “SmackDown” debut makes sense for Gronk who is an NFL on Fox personality.
Gronkowski has previously appeared at WWE’s WrestleMania 33 as reinforcement for his friend Mojo Rawley.
WWE reps decline comment on Gronkowski’s status to TheWrap.
