Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was pleased to be ‘back in the game’ in last night’s episode of Emmerdale. After she saved Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) from being beaten to death by dodgy Kev, she made Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and offer – 50% of the haulage firm in return for the money she so desperately needs.
Tonight, with a spring in her step, Charity bumped into Mandy (Lisa Riley) who was desperate for the money from yesterday’s business.
Initially, Mandy expected Charity to only give her half of the money she was carrying around, but when Lydia (Karen Blick) arrived, all of them (yes, including Charity) were shocked when Charity handed over the full sum of money – enough to pay off Lydia’s debts and Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) funeral costs.
But nothing is ever easy when it comes to Charity, and after Mandy thanked her for the money, she asked if Mandy would tell the family about her good deed in the hope it would put her back in the Dingles’ good books.
Meanwhile, following the new business deal offer, Nicola was attempting to get through to Jimmy (Nick Miles). However, with Jimmy still in a dark place following the truck crash, he wasn’t prepared to have a full conversation with Nicola, shutting her down and ending any opportunities of Nicola telling him about Charity’s offer.
As Nicola met with Mack and Charity, she delivered the news that she was yet to tell Jimmy about the deal, but with her confidence growing following her good exchange with Mandy and Lydia, Charity blackmailed Nicola, saying if she didn’t sort the business deal, she would tell Jimmy about her dodgy dealings with Mack.
Charity told Nicola that she wasn’t fussed about how the paperwork was filled out, she wanted the deal completed.
Jimmy would be horrified if Charity told him about Nicola working with Mack, but what will Nicola do next?
Will she tell Jimmy?
Or complete the business deal with Charity behind his back?
