Strictly finalists Hamza Yassin and Helen Skelton ‘set to co-host Countryfile’

Strictly Come Dancing finalists Hamza Yassin and Helen Skelton are "set to co-present Countryfile" after impressing BBC bosses, according to reports.

Both Helen and Hamza participated and competed in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing and made it to the grand finale, which took place on Saturday (December 17).

With Hamza winning the series and lifting the Glitterball trophy with his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal, Helen and her partner Gorka Marquez came joint runners-up with Fleur East and Molly Rainford.

But now it seems that Helen and Gorka, who have both appeared on Countryfile over the years, could be co-starring alongside each other once again.

Hamza, a Countryfile cameraman, and Helen, a star of The Instant Gardner, are reportedly set to co-host one of the BBC's biggest programmes.

A TV insider has told The Sun: "It’s a huge opportunity for Hamza and Helen as Countryfile’s ratings eclipse most soap operas. But it’s unlikely to be the only project they both get.

"Hamza is set to front his own nature show, while Helen is expected to get her own vehicle based around her adventurous and bubbly personality."

This comes after reports swirled that Helen's pro dance partner Gorka was "fuming" after he lost out to Hamza and Jowita over the weekend.

Spanish pro dancer Gorka has been a part of Strictly since 2016, but after placing as joint runner-up on three occasions, an expert has spoken to us about his "stress" and "sadness".

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman, explained that while waiting for the results, "Gorka's face is already different to the others".

Inbaal spoke of how Gorka's lips were "stretched out" which shows how he was more stressed than the others.

"As we see each couple's facial reaction, Gorka is applauding politely, his hands lowered and his eyes looking down. He does feel a little sad at that moment," she revealed to us.
