Bradley Walsh welcomed today’s contestants onto The Chase as they all tried their best to outsmart the Chaser and take home a share of the jackpot prize.
Jan, 61, Shireen, 53, Matt, 36, and Jacob, 19, were up against today’s Chaser, Shaun Wallace, also known as The Dark Destroyer.
First to face the Chaser was Jan who earned an impressive £7,000 in the cash builder round before being beaten by Shaun.
Next up was Shireen who added £4,000 to the jackpot prize and was the first player to secure their spot in the final Chase.
However during Matt’s head to head with the Chaser, Bradley snapped at Shaun after an unexpected outburst.
During the round Bradley asked the pair a question concerning number one hits that were also the name of films.
Both answered the question correctly and said “Wuthering Heights” leading to Shaun bursting into his own rendition of the Kate Bush classic.
Shutting him down, Bradley snapped: “What have I told you about singing on the show? No one likes it, you put them off.
“There are people are running into their kitchen, screaming at their mums, watching this as they eat their fish fingers, they’re joking on them!” [sic]
Viewers watching enjoyed the outburst and took to Twitter to comment.

One remarked: “Bradley having a go at Sean for singing is hillarious #thechase,” and another reviewed: “He didn’t hit one note let alone the high one #thechase.”
“Don’t listen to Brad! We like your singing Shaun! #TheChase,” commented a third.
A fourth tweeted: “Why does brad always say people are eating their fish fingers at home does he not know any other classic tea time meal #TheChase.”
After the outburst Matt went onto add £5,000 to the jackpot but the last contestant didn’t make it through to the final and the two finalists failed to beat the Chaser.
Bradley’s outburst at Shaun wasn’t the only time he was shocked during the show as today’s first contestant took him by surprise with an admission she made relating to a James Bond question.
After she had selected her answer, Jan revealed she had never seen a James Bond film all the way through and had to make an educated guess.
Stunned, Bradley remarked: “What? Seriously?” to which Jan replied: “Only person in Britain I imagine.”
“Jan, you’ve got to liven up, bit of escapism that’s what you need,” the presenter jokingly quipped.
“Bit of James Bond, that’s what you want!”
Despite the revelation Jan got the answer correct leading Bradley to suggest she had been fibbing which Jan denied.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
