The Chase fans spot intentionally cheeky answer from one contestant that tickles Bradley Walsh

Bradley Walsh’s infamous Fanny Chmelar question on The Chase reared its head again yesterday (October 11) as one contestant made a cheeky reference during the show.

The host was left muffling hysterics once more after Ben, one of the players, sarcastically mentioned the pro German skier’s name during a question.

In his traditional rapid-speed manner, Bradley asked: “The Art of Painting and The Geographer are works by which Dutch artist?”, to which Ben pondered for a couple of seconds before replying “Fanny Chmelar?”

Bradley – who recently debuted as Graham in the eleventh series of Doctor Who – held it together slightly better than last time, but social media users clocked on immediately to the events unfolding on-screen.

Last year, Bradley publicly apologised to Chmelar whilst appearing on Lorraine, telling fill-in presenter Christine Lampard: “I’d love to meet her, just to apologise. She must have had enough of it by now. The poor thing. I do apologise. I have to apologise to Fanny.

“I’m sorry, Fanny. She’s a very good downhill skier by all accounts.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV, whilst Lorraine airs on weekdays from 8.30am on ITV. Doctor Who returns with episode 2 – ‘The Ghost Monument’ – this Sunday, October 14 on BBC One.
