The comedian revealed that he was left speechless after tonight’s unmasking.

Cat Deeley, standing in for Lorraine, asked Joel: “Apparently there was one celebrity who everybody was really amazed by?”

Joel replied: “There was one in particular, that I genuinely… for me, it was the biggest reaction I gave when I was told it was them.

"I just couldn't believe that they'd done the show. I just never believed that they would do it.

"And when they told me I was like 'what!" I couldn't believe it. It's mad.”

When asked when viewers would find out about this big celebrity was, Joel reluctantly answered: “potentially tonight.”

After letting it slip, Joel joked he might be sacked from the show as he said: "I think I might have just lost my job, I'm not sure."

He also unveiled that he thinks the next series of The Masked Singer will not be as good as the dance spin-off.

Joel said: "It's more visual because they are moving so much. I think when we go back to the Masked Singer at the end of the year and it will feel strangely static."

He continued: "There’s no foundation of the voice to go on so it's much harder.

"But there are more clues in this – in the costumes in the VTs.”

So far, Diversity’s Jordan Banjo has been unmasked at Viper and Louise Redknapp has been revealed as Flamingo.

Who are the remaining celebrities? Can you guess from the clues?

Joel added: “After this episode three people start to let loose.

"This is where the show starts to flourish. Sometimes people have to hide real talents so we don't guess it immediately but now they start to reveal what their incredible bodies can do."

The Masked Dancer returns to ITV tonight at 7:30pm.
