COUNTING On’s Jeremy Vuolo was arrested in January of 2008 for “harassment” against a police officer.
The reality TV star had a blood-alcohol level of .13 percent at the time of his arrest.
Here is more about Jeremy’s arrest.
Who is Jeremy Vuolo?
Jeremy Vuolo, 32, is a former American soccer player for Major League Soccer.
He is now a pastor and is married to Jinger Duggar from TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting.
Jeremy appears on the spin-off, Counting On alongside the rest of the Duggar family.
Why was he arrested and when?
In a police report obtained from Oneonta Police Department, Jeremy was arrested on January 16, 2008 in New York for harassment against a police officer.
“An intoxicated male who appeared to be a friend of the male that was involved was acting belligerent and shouting obscenities while in front of numerous subjects,” the reporting officer wrote.
“For no apparent reason, Jeremy walked up to [the officer] and grabbed his right arm/bicep in a forceful manner,” the report read.
“Subsequently, he was arrested and transported back to HQ, where he was booked and later released to a sober friend.”
It was also reported that his blood alcohol level was .13 percent at the time of his arrest.
The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
He was ordered to play $250 in fines and a surcharge of $95.
Jeremy spoke out about his arrest saying: “I was part of the college party scene and was living foolishly,” he said.
“I’m not perfect, but I sought out accountability and I now see great victory in my life.”
Who is he married to?
Jeremy is married to Jinger Duggar, daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from the show 19 Kids and Counting.
The two began officially dating in July of 2016 after seven months of courting.
They were married shortly after in November and in 2018, announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Their daughter, Felicity Nicole Vuolo, was born in July of 2018.
In May of 2020, Jinger revealed that the couple were expecting their second child after suffering a miscarriage in the Fall of 2019.
Their daughter is due in November of 2020.
The couple reside in Los Angeles as Jeremy is a pastor.
Why were they criticized on social media?
Jeremy was recently slammed on social media for posting a picture of his daughter without a life vest while on a boat.
He captioned the shot: "And just like that, she’s a boat captain. Time flies!"
A user said: "Just mentioning a child shouldn't be boating without a life jacket. Absolutely love u guys but in Australia it's illegal for a child to be on a boat without a life jacket."
She added that adults don't need to wear life jackets, "but a child definitely needs one 100%."
The criticisms continued with one person writing: "You forgot her life jacket."
Jeremy has also openly criticized Jinger’s brother John David saying he would “not quarantine with him.”
"John is so smart and him and I work on different levels,” Jeremy said.
"I would just feel like an idiot around him all day.
“He gets so much stuff done, I would feel so lazy. I would feel really lazy," he added.
Jinger was also slammed by fans for showing her legs while wearing a short dress on Instagram, as the family is very religious and usually dress conservatively.
What is Counting On?
The spin-off show follows the lives of the older Duggar children as they get married and start families of their own.
Though the show initially focused on Jill and her sister, Jessa Seewald, when it first premiered in 2015, the TLC series has since expanded to include nine other Duggar siblings.
