MAMMA MIA! I Have a Dream cast open show with a classic
Zoe Ball, who absolutely adores ABBA, has landed a presenting role on Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream which is a reality series where two contestants will secure the lead roles in the West End musical, Mamma Mia! as lovers Sophie and Sky.
Each week, the female and male contestants are put through their paces to impress a judging panel made up of Alan Carr, Samantha Barks, Jessie Ware and Amber Riley.
However, the judges have a tough decision on their hands as they have to send home competitors as the competition heats up.
Ahead of the show airing, Zoe opened up to Express.co.uk and other media about becoming a bit of a matchmaker.
She said: “I kind of relished the role of herding the Sophie and Skys and desperately tried to get them together.
“It’s the Mamma Mia curse, so I am not sure if that happened. But they were so adorable and so professional, annoyingly so.”
Zoe said it was brilliant to see them “learn from the best” in the business and work with them as part of the process.
The radio presenter added: “They learned from the best and they had so much to do in a day.
“They had to learn choreography, to learn to sing [these songs], and they rose to the challenge.

“They were such brilliant… I want to call them boys and girls because they are the age of my kids… But young men and young women. They were fantastic and that was an absolute joy to witness.”
While no one was sent home during the first outing, Maddy was eliminated by the judges on Sunday’s show after forgetting a couple of her lines.
Alan and Jessie did not seem impressed when Maddy made errors during her performance and it cost her a place in the competition.
