Chloe Madeley cuddles up to baby Bodhi on family day out with husband James Haskell

Chloe Madeley appeared to be thriving in her role as a new mum as she was spotted cuddling her adorable newborn baby daughter Bodhi while on a family day out.

Joined by her husband James Haskell, the young family headed off out to enjoy the day together just eight weeks on from a gruelling C-section which brought the adorable youngster into the world.

Dressed in a chic but comfortable green jumpsuit, Chloe, 35, could be seen cradling Bodhi in her arms as she enjoyed the day out in Hampstead, London.

Wearing her hair piled high in a practical, but effortlessly elegant bun, Chloe kept a protective hold on her little one as James retrieved the pushchair from the car ahead of their day trip together.

The latest outing comes just weeks after Chloe revealed she was refusing to take painkillers as she recovered from her C-section, as she was concerned that taking opiates may dull her ability to enjoy the first precious few weeks with Bodhi.

Speaking to OK!, she said: “I’m in so much pain now that a lot of my mental energy is going on pain management. I don’t want to take loads and loads of painkillers as I’ve got a newborn to look after.

"I don’t want to be taking opioids even though I do have them. I want to be present and I want to enjoy it, and with that it means embracing pain, so the last thing I’m thinking about now is training or exercise, I’m like – I need to eat what I want to eat and recover.”

Chloe gave birth via emergency c-section on 10th August to daughter Bodhi who weighed 7lb 9oz.

Initially, she had planned on having a water birth, but Bodhi still hadn’t arrived 24 hours after her waters had broken, leading medics to recommend an induction.

However, this didn’t go quite to plan either, with Bodhi’s heartbeat plummeting after an intense eight hour labour, leading medics to rush the pair to theatre to deliver her safely.

Despite the scary arrival into the world, Bodhi has continued to go from strength to strength ever since, with doting mum Chloe even describing her as a “maniac” as she constantly smiled at everything at just six weeks old.

Chloe took to her Instagram account earlier this month to share an adorable snap of her then six-week-old tot smiling while being held.

She captioned the photo by saying: “My little maniac is smiling already”.

Chloe herself has also been sharing details of her recovery, as she showed her realistic and unfiltered body in the weeks postpartum.

Having returned to working out, personal trainer Chloe shared her experience of building back her strength, fitness and nutritional health, following her somewhat complicated birthing experience.

Taking to her Instagram comments to discuss the process, she opened up about how after giving birth, she worried she'd never feel sexy again.

She said: "The bleeding and the breast leakage can get so tiresome that you cry because you just want to sit with nothing on for a few minutes (still there)!

"You can’t ever imagine feeling sexy again (still there).

"Sometimes you just sit and stare even though you have a f**k ton of work to do (still there).”
