Ron’s family revealed the tragic news via his Donnie Baker Facebook page, his most iconic character on the radio show.

They wrote: “It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us.

“Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family.”

The family have not yet revealed what Ron’s cause of death was.

This hasn’t stopped his legion of fans from declaring their tributes to the late comedy legend, with his dummer and close friend, Dusty Privette, penning a heartfelt message to Ron over social media.
