Love Island producers have ‘grown tired’ of Hugo Hammond and are refusing to give him airtime after it took five attempts to film his first kiss with Amy Day in Casa Amor.
The P.E. teacher, 24, who barely featured in the last two episodes of the ITV2 show, isn’t natural on camera, and left the nation cringing after saying ‘job done’ following his kiss with Amy, 25, given it had taken multiple tries to film the scene.
A TV source revealed Hugo isn’t in their good books after failing to form a romantic connection since being in the villa, with some viewers even believing he’s only on Love Island to enjoy a ‘ lads’ holiday.’

‘Hugo has disappointed producers, they were relying on him to be a big character in the villa, but he’s ended up fading into the background,’ an insider said.
‘The aim of the show is to form genuine connections and he’s struggled to do that with female Islanders, and even some of the males in the group.
‘It took Hugo five attempts to film his first kiss with Amy and his ‘job done’ comment gave the game away.’
Hugo, who’s an original Islander, is yet to find the woman of his dreams in the villa and is responsible for sending home the likes of AJ Bunker and Georgia Townend, both 28.

‘Major ick’: Hugo is coupled up with Amy after meeting the bombshell in Casa Amor, though some viewers, including Love Island’s Amber Gill, claim there’s no chemistry between them
A spokesperson for Love Island said: ‘This is not true.’
He’s currently paired with Amy after meeting the bombshell in Casa Amor, and should remain in the relationship when the girls chose who they want to couple up with in tonight’s instalment.
But some viewers, including Love Island winner Amber Gill, 23, believe the pair lack chemistry, with the reality star tweeting last week: ‘Amy HATES Hugo.’
Another user claimed: ‘Sorry but Amy hates Hugo. Her entire body language is rejecting him. She wanted to die when he said ‘job done’ after a kiss and fair enough. I know a major ick when I see one.’
Hugo was left humiliated after close pal Chloe Burrows, 25, rejected his advances despite him defending her honour during a dramatic recoupling.
‘It gave the game away’: A TV insider revealed to MailOnline Hugo’s kiss with Amy took five attempts to film, before he declared ‘job done’ after finally nailing the scene
He made an enemy of fellow Islander Toby Aromolaran, 22, after badmouthing his treatment of Chloe in front of the group when he decided to recouple with Abi Rawlings, 27, but the romantic gesture didn’t get him very far.
Dumped Islander Lucinda Strafford, 21, told MailOnline Hugo felt under ‘pressure’ to connect with Georgia after she made a beeline for him when she entered the villa.
She said: ‘He is definitely there for love. It’s weird because I don’t think he was treating it like a lads’ holiday, he didn’t really have a connection with AJ, Georgia, he said, I don’t understand why there’s this pressure of me having to like Georgia, they didn’t have that connection.
‘He fancied Chloe and said he wanted someone like Chloe or me to walk in, he did say that quite often, so who knows what’s going to happen.’
