Tiffany Haddish suffers eighth miscarriage but kept heartbreak to herself

American stand-up comedian Tiffany Haddish has candidly opened up about her personal experience after recently suffering her eighth miscarriage.

In an interview with The Washington Post Tiffany, 43, shared her struggles of carrying a child while speaking with a nurse.

She revealed that she has a “uterus shaped like a heart”, which she further explained meant that “it just won’t keep anything in”.

Tiffany made the decision to keep her miscarriages out of the spotlight and relatively private as she said she doesn’t “want people saying: ‘Are you okay? Are you alright?’”

Adding: “Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.”

During the interview, Tiffany reportedly has taken parenting classes so she can adopt in the future. However, she is still unsure if she wants to become a mother.

The Afterparty actress, who is single, previously dated rapper Common but they split in 2021.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE, “They are never in the same city together and both of them are just too busy for a serious relationship.”

She was previously married to her ex-husband William Stewart – an army veteran, whom she was married to from 2008 until 2013. He helped her locate her estranged father who walked her down the aisle.

Although, In 2018, she told the same outlet that she was looking for a man who did not have children of his own “I did that before. I don’t want to do that again,” she explained at the time.

“It’s all situational, it depends on the situation. But that’s not really something I’m looking for. I’m not really open to that.”

Adding: “Now if somebody comes along and he’s amazing, the kids are amazing, then maybe,” she said.

“But from my experience, it’s usually the kids are really amazing and then I end up liking the kid more than I like them.  

“I’m like, ‘I’m here for the kid! I want the kid to be a great human because they still have a chance and you’re still an a**.’ And I just end up protecting the kid.”
