Beauty fans are obsessed with M&S perfume dupe that smells like a posh one by Marc Jacobs but it’s as cheap as chips | The Sun

BARGAIN-HUNTING beauty lovers are going wild over an affordable Marks & Spencer perfume they reckon is a dupe for a scent by Marc Jacobs.

The budget-friendly version, called Discover Intense Gardenia & Vanilla Eau de Toilette retails for just £12.50 and is said to be an identical match to the posh aroma of Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

Similarly to the real deal, which retails for an eye-watering £92 at Boots, the dupe by Marks & Spencer has ''fresh, sweet and fruity notes'', fans online have said.

A group of beauty lovers, who go by the username Dupeshop, took to Instagram to inform others about the cheap deal, praising both the summery aroma and the quality.

The account, which has won more than 277k followers, is home to ''affordable money-saving alternatives and dupes for popular makeup, skincare and fragrance products in the UK''.

Sharing a snap of the two buys, the page wrote: “Hey. Look what we’ve found. You don’t wanna miss these…"

Dupeshop compared both scents and insisted that the cheaper version had been "thoroughly tested against the high-end product on different participants by Dupeshop's expert team", which includes cosmetic scientists and luxury product manufactures.

According to the pros, the perfumes are "extremely similar".

They went on: "Both perfumes have fresh, sweet and fruity notes, and they both have sandalwood and vanilla as their base notes."

The only difference – apart from the hefty price tag and a different packaging – was that the M&S perfume has "a slightly freshers, more green scent."
