Huge UK festival thrown into chaos as music comes to a halt due to rainstorm

All Points East festival in London was thrown into chaos when acts were forced to stop due to a rainstorm.

Festival-goers at the East London event were left fuming when they were forced to take cover and all music across the stages came to a temporary stop.

As terrible weather spread across the capital city, festival organisers shared a statement on X, which was formerly known as Twitter.

It read: "We can confirm that due to weather, we are pausing performances across all stages until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation."

Music lovers in attendance were gutted after they were forced to hide from the torrential rain in the music tents – and even toilets.

One person posted: "£140 to be stuck in a cubicle with all music cancelled due to storm."

Another wrote: "Currently hiding from the torrential rain and hail at All Points East in a portable loo. Come find me for BadBadNotGood."

A third user demanded: "Give me my money back."

And someone else asked: "Are you refunding us because right now we are stood in the rain."

Meanwhile someone else who wasn't there said: "Not surprised, all them people must be swimming over there."

And a second added: "Thundering and lightning in Hackney – glad I'm not at All Points East today."

Plenty of others were asking to know when the music would resume.

The Saturday line-up (August 26) included headliners Jungle, as well as Erykah Badu, Raye, Gabriels, and Nia Archives, among others.

The previous day, fans got to enjoy The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girl In Red, and Amyl And The Sniffers, as well as plenty more.
