EastEnders fans had to do a double-take after actress Maisie Smith appeared alongside her lookalike sister Scarlett in a sweet family snap shared by their mum on social media.

Maisie, 21, who played Tiffany Butcher in the BBC One soap, posed in the Cyprus holiday picture with her boyfriend Max George, 34, with her mum Julia and dad Stephen.

Julia posted the image on Instagram on Wednesday (November 2) with the caption "My world", followed by hashtags referencing her family.

One follower asked: "I'm sorry but are your daughters twins. I didn't think they were but wow do they look alike in this photo! I had to look four times to realise its a different person!"

A second commented: "Wow Maisie and her sister are so alike!!! Twinnies", while a third added: "Wow u and ur sister are like twins."

Julie replied to one comment to confirm her daughters were not twins, and said: "Haha I know! Three years apart, but so similar."

Last month it was reported how Strictly Come Dancing co-stars Maisie and The Wanted's Max, had been spotted "kissing" on a flight while sitting next to each other on a plane to Crete.

According to reports, one onlooker said the pair "were all over each other" as they jetted off on a romantic getaway.
