Gardeners’ World has shared a moving tribute to Monty Don’s dog Nellie, who sadly died recently just three years after the presenter bid farewell to his other pooch, Nigel.
The 68-year-old took to Instagram last week to tell his 1.2 million followers that he was “very, very sad” following Nell’s death.
On Thursday, Gardeners’ World’s X account, formerly known as Twitter, also paid a moving tribute to the beloved Golden Retriever.
The account posted a compilation of Nell’s memorable moments from the show and captioned it: “Bye-bye Nellie. We shall miss you x x.”
Fans quickly rushed to express their condolences under the tribute video.

Taking to social media last week, Monty announced the sad news.
He wrote: “[Nell] was diagnosed with cancer in June and every day this summer has been a gift but it is over now.
“We buried her in the garden next to Nigel wrapped in one of my jackets with flowers, balls and her favourite biscuits. Her end was peaceful and dignified and ended obvious suffering but it never gets any easier to bear.
He concluded: “So life goes on, but for the moment we are very, very sad.”
