Casualty teases new set pics as fans say they are ‘getting withdrawals’

Casualty trailer hints at Zoe Hanna’s return

It looks as though fans may not have to wait too long for the next series of Casualty to air.

The long-running BBC drama ended in a dramatic double-episode finale as viewers saw Donna Jackson (played by Jaye Jacobs) discover her fate.

After falling asleep at the wheel and causing a car crash, which resulted in life-changing injuries for the other driver, Donna was sentenced to 12 months in prison and six in custody.

Although it looks as though fans won’t be seeing her in the upcoming series, there’s two characters who are definitely returning to the Holby City Hospital.

On the show’s official Instagram, actors Barney Walsh and Sarah Daniela Seggari can be seen on set.

Both actors, who play Cam Mickelthwaite and Rida Amaan in Casualty, are seen wrapped together in a big coat with their medical scrubs underneath.

Smiling at the camera, the crew could be seen in the background, along with a police officer.

The snap is captioned: “It’s officially big coat season!”

It wasn’t long before fans responded to the image, as the show revealed that filming for the upcoming series has officially begun.
