Coronation Street’s Stephen caught out, Ryan prison twist and overdose fears

Coronation Street's Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) will find out his fate next week after his insurance scam plan went terribly wrong.

He gets charged in upcoming scenes and instructed to attend magistrates’ court.

Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) confirms the CCTV footage is damning evidence against him.

Ryan tells Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) they should stage fake CCTV footage of a masked gunman forcing him to rob the Bistro.

However, Debbie refuses to cooperate. Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) later catches Ryan trying to fix the Bistro camera himself.

Ronnie advises Ryan to accept his punishment and he later supports him in court.

As the district judge accepts his guilty plea, Ryan awaits sentencing.

Elsewhere, at a follow-up appointment with Dr Gaddas, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) insists that she simply miscalculated her sleeping pills the other week and doesn’t need therapy.

Dr Gaddas suggests a course of antidepressants instead.

When Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) confides his concern for mum Audrey to Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox), they agree to arrange a treat for her.

Rita recruits Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) to join their posh afternoon tea to cheer up Audrey at Debbie’s hotel.

In the cafe, Stephen receives a call from the hotel about the deposit for afternoon tea.

Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) are thrilled, while Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) reckons he can’t be any worse than Frank (Simon O'Brien)

As Laurence waits in the bistro, Sean declares to Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), Mary and Glenda that he’s putting Dylan first by swearing off men.

Dylan orders his dad to meet Laurence. Over drinks in the bistro, Sean and Laurence get on famously.
