Holly and Phillip ‘likely to call it a day’ as ‘replacements ready’

Holly and Phil open Thursday’s edition of This Morning

The latest predictions from Ladbrokes suggest Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield could “split” as a presenting duo by the end of the year.

The bookmakers have given Holly and Phillip odds of 4/5 to not be presenting This Morning by the end of 2023.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Phil and Holly’s relationship is reportedly on the rocks and with a whole host of potential replacements ready and waiting.

“It’s now looking more likely than ever the pair will call it a day on This Morning.”

The latest odds come after it was reported the dynamic duo had “drifted apart.”

After 14 years together on screen, it was claimed Holly and Phillip are “not as close” as they used to be.

Other claims suggest their friendship has been under strain for several months.

As Holly and Phillip made a return on Thursday, fans also picked up on their body language, with many claiming there was “tension” between them.

In April, the bookmakers predicted Alison Hammond could replace Phil after fans called for her to be a permanent fixture on the ITV show.

This came after both Holly and Phil took an extended break from their hosting duties.

After taking their usual break for the Easter Holidays, Holly confirmed she wouldn’t be back straight away because she had caught shingles.

Phillip returned to screens without Holly after also taking an extended break from his job.

The 61-year-old’s prolonged absence saw him leave at the start of March and during his time off, Holly fronted the programme alongside the likes of Joel Dommett and Alison.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
