Inside Nick Knowles's rocky love life as DIY SOS star finds love with woman 27 years younger than him

DIY SOS star Nick Knowles revealed this week that he is happily in love with a mum-of-two who’s 27 years younger than him.

The BBC star told of how he met Katie Dadzie, 31, at their children's play group which his youngest son Eddie, 7, was attending.

While the relationship was platonic for a couple of years, Nick, 58, and his younger woman confirmed their relationship at a restaurant last week.

But this isn't Nick's first relationship rodeo – having had a string of well-documented relationships in the past.

Starting out in the 1990s, he wed first wife Gillian, and welcomed his first two children, daughter Tuesday and son Charlie.

But when that went sour, the telly fixer-upper went on to have a string of romances and marry (and divorce) for a second time.

Here we look through Nick's tumultuous relationship history, right up until his relationship announcement with new girl Katie.

The first marriage and more

Nick married his first wife Gillian in the 1990s, and they went on to have their two children Tuesday and Charlie shortly after.

But the relationship went sour in 2000, and the pair filed for a divorce – giving Nick the freedom for a string of relationships.

He went on to form a two-year relationship with beauty therapist Paula Beckett-Vass, which bore his third child Tyrian-J.

Sadly, that also wasn't to last – and the pair split up, with Nick moving in shortly after with TV presenter Suzi Perry in 2000.

The pair met on the set of City Hospital for the BBC in that year, and they romance lasted until 2009 when he met Jessica Rose Moor.

A second wedding goes wrong

Nick and Jessica dated from 2009 until 2012, when they were married in an intimate ceremony in Rome in front of 12 guests.

In November 2013, the happy couple opened up an antiques shop and home design consultancy together near their home in Berkshire.

While the couple split in 2016 – he continued to support his ex-wife through her battle with cervical cancer in July of that year.

Together the couple also welcomed son Eddie, who is now seven.

Jessica and Nick remained amicable as he quickly moved on, and was spotted with a new woman at the TV Choice Awards in September 2016.

Following the split from Jessica, Nick was seen embracing Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten at the awards ceremony.

But while Gemma insisted the pair had been seeing each other, she told at the time that it was the candid photos that led to their split.

Clearly not wanting his relationships in the public eye, he was then pictured on a series of dates with former The Only Way Is Essex star Pascal Craymer.

The star was over two decades his junior, and once again – when evidence of the romance came out, he called it off with the reality star.

Roar like a cougar

In 2018, news broke that Nick was thought to have embarked on a new romance with another woman 30 years his junior.

He had a short and sweet fling with marketing executive Rebecca Kearns, who he reportedly began dating in November 2017.

But once again, it didn't last long for the TV host – who was seen cosying up to another younger woman on a date night in London's West End.

In early 2019, she was identified as 26-year-old PR executive Emily Hallinan, who enjoyed a night out to the theatre with Nick.

It didn't look to be a serious relationship for the DIY SOS star, however, who was also seen in the company of a mystery blonde days later.

Could he have found 'The One'?

Nick is now in a happy relationship with Katie Dadzie, who made their public debut at a restaurant in Bath last week.

A source said of the pair: “Nick and Katie have known each other for a couple of years, but it’s always been platonic.

“They actually met through their youngest offspring and went on a few playdates as pals, before romance blossomed. Katie is a beautiful woman, fiercely independent and just Nick’s type.

“They’ve met one another’s friends and, although it’s early days, everyone is hopeful this might be for keeps.”
