Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson famously clashed on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Both reality TV personalities have taken jabs at each other over the years on social media although that wasn’t always the case. Gunvalson and Dodd used to be close friends when the latter joined the show. However, Dodd is now calling her former co-star the “cheapest chick on Earth.”

Kelly Dodd accused of dining and dashing by Lisa Vanderpump

To give context into Dodd calling Gunvalson “cheap,” we have to go back to where all this mess started. Lisa Vanderpump has a new show called Overserved on the E! network. Jeff Lewis was a guest during a recent episode and asked the restauranteur if she had ever banned anyone from her establishments.

“Yeah, she kinda came into Pump and didn’t pay a bill…[she’s] not royalty like you,” Vanderpump said confirming she was talking about Dodd.

It wasn’t long before the RHOC star jumped and clapped back denying she had left Vanderpump’s restaurant without paying.

“THIS IS A LIE,” Dodd tweeted. “It was 6 [years] ago. I was a guest of Vicki [Gunvalson] and her friends. I paid my share [and] have the receipt [and] showed it back then on social media. It was the others who didn’t pay. No wonder Villa Blanca went under.”

Hours later, Dodd came back with an actual receipt of the night she was a patron at Vanderpump’s restaurant. With proof in plain sight, Vanderpump had no other option than to apologize for the confusion.

“Gosh, of course, I was told there was a problem and you didn’t pay. I was away but of course whatever you say,” Vanderpump tweeted. “I apologize if there was such a fiasco and apologize on behalf of all my staff. Would love to host you.”

Dodd accepted the apologies and was glad the mixup was cleared up once again.

“I’m confused why you’d say I was banned when in fact I was the subject of false and defamatory allegations and cleared up five years ago,” Dodd replied. “I’d appreciate a post on your feeds to clear this up.”

Why is Kelly Dodd calling Vicki Gunvalson ‘cheap?’

Since Lewis was the one that started all this mess when he asked Vanderpump about the situation, Dodd called into his SiriusXM show. The RHOC housewife explained the situation in more detail and threw Gunvalson under the bus.

“What happened was I was at The Abbey with Vicki Gunvalson, the cheapest chick on earth, and her [friends],” Dodd said on Jeff Lewis Live. “We went to The Abbey because I was like, ‘My friends are here, they’re going to get a table.’ They end up ordering way more so they ended up charging us $575. And I’m like, ‘Well, I’ll get the bill,’ thinking that they were going to pick up the lunch.”

When Dodd and the group went over to the Pump Lounge she got a little savvier. “Since Vicki’s so cheap and wants everything for free,” she explained. “I asked the waiter for a separate bill because I didn’t want to get stuck with another huge bill.”

Dodd said that the waiter might’ve gotten upset that they had to charge separately. Ultimately, she was glad that Vanderpump apologized because she “heard that she doesn’t apologize to anyone, so that made me feel good.”
