‘I was quietly devastated and dreading it’: Chloe Madeley reveals how moving in with parents Richard and Judy after giving birth changed their relationship

Chloe Madeley has revealed she was ‘dreading’ moving in with her parents Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.

Chloe, 35, her rugby player husband James Haskell, 37, and newborn baby daughter Bodhi moved in with her TV presenter parents shortly after she gave birth in August after being forced to leave their home due to ongoing renovations.

She said: ‘I was quietly devastated and dreading it. I thought we were all going to be so frazzled.’

Although Chloe was hesitant at first, the move has only strengthened their family bond.

She told The Sun: ‘There’s just been the loveliest family camaraderie between us. My mum and I have never been this close.

‘I’ve always been a daddy’s girl. But since I got pregnant it’s flipped completely. My mum has been living and breathing it with me. This is the closest I’ve ever felt to her.’

Chloe and James have since moved back into their own home, with the TV personality giving a glimpse at the couple’s spacious newly-renovated abode over the weekend.

She also uploaded before-and-after shots of their bathroom, which she fitted with white marble, as well as the staircase with a grey carpet and a black chandelier.

A bedroom with green walls and an en-suite bathroom, had also been filled with cardboard boxes as they renovated and unpacked.

Chloe previously admitted that while pregnant she felt that she might regret her decision to have children.

Speaking on Loose Women in September, Chloe told the panel: ‘I spent a long time not sure if I wanted children, and I think a lot of women don’t necessarily talk about it.

‘In the third trimester. I was really nervous, like, I hope I’ve made the right decision and I kind of thought that would go away. It didn’t, and I was really nervous about it.’

Any doubts Chloe may have had soon vanished.

She added: ‘As soon as I saw Bodhi, I just fell madly in love and thought, “This is the best thing I’ve ever done!”‘

The couple welcomed their first child Bodhi on August 10 after tying the knot in 2018.
