How Kim Kardashian’s relationship with sister Kourtney Kardashian has turned sour: Inside the ugly feud as the war of words continues
Kim Kardashian and older sister Kourtney Kardashian were first put on the public’s radar when they appeared on their family’s hit E! TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Since the premiere of their reality television series in October 2007, the women and their siblings — Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner — have branched off to create respective businesses, amassing a fortune and collecting hundreds of millions of social media followers along the way.
Despite their lavish lifestyles and steady ascent, there seems to have always been friction between the two eldest sisters.
Fans have watched in suspense as the stars — Kim, 42, and Kourtney, 44 — battled it out through the years, with their disagreements at times turning physical.
The latest scuffle between the pair was set off when they separately collaborated with Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana.

Spilling over from their fight about it on last season’s The Kardashians on Hulu, the season four premiere episode saw the spat continue.
Not only did their argument persist, but it worsened as viewers witnessed a heated phone call between the women.
Despite appearing to have hashed out their drama over Kim’s creative directing a 90s D&G capsule collection shortly after Kourtney’s D&G-designed wedding, the ladies’ contention was later reignited.
It led to a one-on-one call in which Kim asked her older sister if she was ‘happy’ in life.
‘You’re a different person. We all talk about it,’ the Skims founder blurted out, referring to a text thread including sisters Khloé, 39, Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26, and excluding Kourtney.
‘We’re all confused, and we’re on a group chat that’s actually labeled ‘Not Kourtney.”
Kim also claimed Kourtney’s kids, Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight, have ‘come to [her] with problems they have’ about their mom.
The interaction ended with a tearful Kourtney calling Kim an ‘egotistical narcissist’ and telling her, ‘You’re just a witch and I hate you.’

The sisters also hit a rough patch in 2018 when Kim famously described her sister as ‘the least exciting to look at’ of the Kardashian/Jenner bunch.
What had initially been a discussion to iron out scheduling details about a family photo shoot, turned into a tit for tat war.
Fans witnessed the tense moment during season 15 of KUWTK as both Kourtney and Kim refused to bend.
Kourtney didn’t like that the SKKN by Kim founder wanted to organize the shoot around her jam-packed itinerary.
On the other hand, Kim reasoned that because she had a busier schedule, Kourtney should have been willing to accommodate.
‘Maybe if you had a business that you were passionate about then you would know what it takes to run a f***ing business, but you don’t.
‘So don’t even act like you know what I’m talking about,’ Kim shouted.
After Kourtney exited the room, Kim sneered, ‘She’s the least exciting to look at. She doesn’t do s**t. She doesn’t know what it’s actually like to have f***ing work to do.’
The Lemme supplement creator then hit back at her sister: ‘You are a very distraught, evil human being.’

The twosome’s relationship was also tested in 2019 when they attempted to throw a joint birthday party for their daughters.
Kim is mom to North West, 10, and Kourtney is mother to Penelope Disick, 11.
When it came time to figure out which desserts should be offered at the Candyland-themed event, the duo couldn’t agree.
Kim wanted to provide all the children’s favorite sweet treats, while Kourtney, a wellness enthusiast, objected.
She instead wanted a batch of healthy snacks for the kids to munch on.
‘It’s not gonna be healthy no matter what. Sugar’s not healthy,’ Kim stressed.
As a rebuttal, Kourtney insisted, ‘But I’m saying, let’s not do the nasty stuff with food coloring and gross s**t.’
Following a threat from Kim to back out of the celebration, they eventually came to an agreement for their daughters’ sake.

One of the earlier arguments broadcast between Kim and Kourtney was when the always entrepreneurial Kim asked her family to be part of her video game app Kim Kardashian Hollywood.
After their other family members signed on to the virtual game, the oldest Kardashian held out.
‘It’s ridiculous for you to just not do that for me as a favor because I have done so much for you,’ Kim told her during one tense discussion.
At another point, as Kim tried to reason with her sibling, Kourtney fired back: ‘I just don’t get why they use our name and likeness and don’t pay us.’
‘Why am I not shocked? Kourtney always is difficult,’ Kim later said in a confessional interview segment. ‘When we were first starting out our careers I would do anything to help them out.’
She complained, ‘Kourtney doesn’t have to lift a finger. She doesn’t have to do anything. She should do this for me, like, with no questions asked.’
Meanwhile, Kourtney lamented, ‘Kim’s making it seem like she’s doing us a favor by having us in her video game.’
‘All these other people are doing it. I’m pregnant. I have a lot going on. I don’t need to put myself into one more thing.
Back in 2020, before KUWTK came to a close, Kim had threatened to boot Kourtney from the show at the end of season 17, due to her refusal to talk about her personal life on camera.
It happened as Kim and Khloe confronted Kourtney about having to pick up the slack when it came to moments she refused to shoot or share details about her life, a key component of the production.
Kourtney complained in the season finale: ‘It’s not okay that I feel like I’m at my breaking point. I need a break and I don’t want to film anymore.
‘I have three kids that are my priority more than the show. What I’m saying is I’m getting to the point where I’m not happy. Everyone has their breaking point. Life is short. It’s not all about filming this show.’

2020 was the year that things between the sisters turned violent.
It came as Kim once again hounded Kourtney about not contributing as much as the other sisters.
‘You don’t care about stuff,’ she said flippantly while they talked at Khloe’s house, where she was also present for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians scene.
Kourtney clapped back: ‘Honestly, change the narrative in your mind. I work my f***ing ass off.’
She added, ‘But also, if I didn’t want to work my ass off and I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, that’s f***ing fine.’
At that point, she got up and bolted at Kim, prompting her to fight back in defense.
Kim was later slammed into a wall by Kourtney, which left a remnant of her makeup on it.
She was left with small, bloody scratches and the tense incident created another viral moment.

Motherhood: The sisters have passed on their family values to their daughters North and Penelope
Even though the two oldest siblings are bound to continue having ups and downs throughout their sisterhood, they always fall back on their family values.
‘We’ve been there before, and we’ll always be OK,’ Kim explained earlier this year while promoting season three of The Kardashians on the Today show.
‘We’re always family, that’s how we were raised. But I’m also proud that everyone’s really vulnerable because I’m sure so many other families have gone through similar things,’ she added.
And she discussed the unique nature of what happens when you film a reality television series. ‘There’s different cycles,’ she shared. ‘You film it, and we think we’re good and we make up, and then you edit it, and then I’m seeing all the things she’s saying about me behind my back, and she’s seeing all the things I’m saying about her behind her back.’
