Katie Price driving 'untaxed vehicle' after getting licence back

Katie Price, 45, spotted behind the wheel of an ‘untaxed vehicle’ just weeks after getting her licence back after two-year driving ban

  • She received 16-week suspended jail sentence and driving ban in 2021

Katie Price has been spotted behind the wheel of an allegedly untaxed vehicle just weeks after she got her licence back following a two-year driving ban.

The 45-year-old was seen driving a white Nissan Elgrand at a petrol station in Sussex.

The vehicle reported had a valid MOT at the time Katie was seen driving it but it had not been taxed, according to the Sun who pictured her in the car.

The Nissan was allegedly due to be taxed on June 1.

There are a number of exemptions for driving without road tax, for example disabled drivers and those using disabled passenger vehicles don’t pay one.

Additionally, ‘historic’ cars – made before January 1, 1983 – are exempt, but the Nissan Katie was spotted driving was made in 2003.

Katie (pictured) also issued a grovelling apology after avoiding jail for her drug and booze-fuelled car crash in December 2021

Katie has only been back behind the wheel for a few weeks (pictured: here after getting it back – but not in the car allegedly untaxed), after she received a 16-week suspended jail sentence and a driving ban in December 2021.

In 2021 she received a 16-week suspended jail sentence and the ban after she admitted drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance after a crash near her home in Sussex

Motorists driving without tax can be fined up to £1,000.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Katie as well as Sussex Police for comment.

Katie has only been back behind the wheel for a few weeks, after she received a 16-week suspended jail sentence and a driving ban in December 2021.

She admitted drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance after a crash near her home in Sussex.

She flipped her car on the B2135 near Partridge Green, near Horsham, at about 6.20am on September 28 while driving to see a friend.

She completed her court assigned rehab order following the car accident on after which she tested positive for alcohol and Class A drug cocaine.

Katie also issued a grovelling apology after avoiding jail for her drug and booze-fuelled car crash in December 2021.

She said she was ‘incredibly sorry’ and was working hard to address her mental health issues.

In December 2021 Katie issued a grovelling apology after avoiding jail for her drug and booze-fuelled car crash

She said: ‘It’s been a really difficult time and I’m incredibly sorry for my actions – I’m sincerely grateful nobody was hurt.’

The mum-of-five added: ‘I’m spending time getting better – mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.’

Campaigners were furious after the mum of-five walked free from court at the time despite crashing her Range Rover near her Sussex home that September during her fifth driving ban.

She told police at the scene: ‘I took drugs. I should not be driving. I admit it all’.

But Katie escaped with a 16-week suspended sentence for drink-driving after going into rehab.

Katie crashed her BMW while double the drink-drive limit after leaving her home to allegedly hunt for drugs during an all-night alcohol and cocaine bender and was subsequently arrested before pleading guilty in court.

The model had no driving licence at the time after being disqualified for two years in October 2019 – and has been banned from the roads six times in total.

The three charges were using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance; driving while unfit to drive through drink; and driving while disqualified. Katie had been taken to hospital but is not thought to have been badly injured.
