Jonnie Irwin was flooded with support as he shared some “good news” after reuniting with a former A Place In The Sun co-star.
The TV presenter, 49, was given just six months to live in 2020 when he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The cancer then spread to his brain. Almost two and a half years later he publicly shared his diagnosis in December.

Since then, Jonnie has been making as many memories as he can with wife Jessica Holmes, and their children, Rex, four, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac. And on Sunday evening (September 24) the property expert issued some “good news” with his followers.
Taking to his Instagram, Jonnie revealed he’s back on TV screens on Monday (September 25) for an appearance on BBC’s Escape To The Country. In the picture, Jonnie can be seen beaming to the camera with the crew setting up to shoot in the back.
In the caption, he penned: “Good news to start the week, there's a brand new episode of @escape country airing tomorrow on @bbcone at 3 om and it's one of mine! I head down to Somerset and look at some fantastic rural properties in some beautiful locations. Plus I also get to visit a cider farm- perks of the job. Hope you enjoy!”
Fans were over the moon to hear that Jonnie would be making a return to prime time telly. In the comments section, one follower wrote: “How fantastic. You are looking sooo well. Can't wait to see to back on the telly.”
Another added: “About time they put you back on. You are great on the show.” A third quipped: “This is great Jonnie, will be tuning in.”
Jonnie’s “good news” comes after he reunited with his former A Place In The Sun co-star Jasmine Harman. The TV star made a rare appearance with Jasmine during a live show in Birmingham on Saturday (September 23).

The Escape to the Country star had his arm around his former co-host, who looked gorgeous in a floral purple dress. Taking to the caption, Jonnie wrote: “Reunited with this beaut for the day. Great show and so nice to meet all the viewers looking to make their dreams come true. Pop over today and see @laurahamiltontv with loads of seminars and great information."
