Kim Kardashian fans suspect she'll wear iconic actress' $5M dress to Met Gala after she drops 'clue'

KIM Kardashian has sparked chatter surrounding her ensemble for this year's Met Gala after making a recent trip to an attraction in Orlando, Florida.

The model – known for her striking looks on fashion's biggest night – may have revealed a clue about her outfit choice for the event.

Over the weekend, Kim and her boyfriend Pete Davidson were spotted leaving the tourist hotspot Ripley's Believe It or Not!, where they spent three hours of their time.

The 41-year-old donned a white tank top and blue jeans with her hair slicked back into a tight bun.

Her 28-year-old comedian beau sported a red and black flannel top, black jeans, a blue baseball cap, and sunglasses.

The pair were photographed getting into their car following a meeting at the venue.

Fans took to Reddit with their theories that the trip may be linked to her attire for the upcoming Met Gala.

The famed attraction is home to the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore when she famously sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy for his 45th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 1962.

Social media users made the connection as one person commented: "I feel she is going to be wearing a high profile celebrity dress (E.g Marilyn Monroe's) which is in a museum she visited yesterday with Pete and as she spoke about how the dress 'cannot be tailored.'"

Another fan agreed, pointing out the late actress's $5million ensemble would match this year's "gilded glamour" theme.

"I think Marilyn's dress does fit this theme but if she ends up wearing it, it'll be possibly her biggest scandal of all time," they added.

"I just googled the Marilyn Dress and 1000% Kimberly is wearing it," a third remarked.

Kim turned heads in a Met Gala outfit last year as she wore an S&M-inspired Balenciaga ensemble that included a mask over their entire head.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum completed the look with high boots and long gloves.

The prestigious fundraiser was given the theme "America: A Lexicon Of Fashion" at the Big Apple's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kim then pulled out all the stops for her second outfit in a black-gloved Balenciaga catsuit with matching sunglasses.

She also pulled out all the stops for her 2019 Met Gala look by wearing a sexy number designed by late fashion mogul Thierry Mugler.

Matching the theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," Kim opted for a skin-tight dress designed to appear as if she had just stepped out of the ocean.

Mugler hadn't designed a collection of his own since 2003, but he stepped out of retirement to create the gown for the reality star.

"He envisioned me as this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” Kim said when interviewed by Vogue on the Met red carpet.

Social media reacted with awe at Kim's stunning look when she debuted it on the red carpet.

"I think about Kim Kardashian's waist in that Mr Mugler's dripping wet dress 24/7," one user said.

"Your makeup matches not only your skin tone but also the dress so well that s*** is crazy. And your hair looks wet, probably isn’t. it’s probably magic. Well done," another said.
