This comes after Fox revealed that she was ‘going for grotesque’ when in came to her ‘involuntary’ weight loss and daring fashion choices while in her post-men era.
The star opened up to The New Yorker in an article published on Wednesday while promoting her upcoming memoir titled Down The Drain.
While discussing her weight loss which the model stated had occurred due to being ‘really stressed out,’ she explained, ‘The losing of the weight, the eyebrows, the clothes, all the things I did—I think I was going for grotesque.’
The mother of one added, ‘I wanted to look a certain way where the girls would appreciate it and the men would despise it.’
Upon going through a difficult period in her life, Fox expressed that she was, ‘burning everything off and losing weight so rapidly. And men started reacting like, “Wait, what happened to her? She used to be so hot.”‘
‘And I leaned into it. I was, like, Oh, great, they hate me — and I love it. The more they hated me, the more fun it was to keep doing it.’
Julia — who recently made an appearance during the Victoria’s Secret Tour ’23 — stated, ‘It was amazing to see how they reacted when I just wasn’t giving them their visual stimulus, or whatever. I mean, they lashed out. They, like, took it personally.’
However, the media personality revealed that she is, ‘actually gaining weight right now’ and added that it was also ‘involuntary.’

‘Yeah, it just happened. Anytime I try to go on a diet, or lose weight, or gain weight, I’ve never been able to.’
While discussing her past and previous relationships with men, Fox expressed that those relationships ‘pale in comparison’ to her ‘profound’ friendships with women.
The model later added, ‘I just go after these guys that I know will be bad for me, but I’m just bored, or something.’
‘I want to go on a wild ride, to burn it all down. I’m not seeking an emotional connection with them.’
The beauty then revealed, ‘And that’s why I’ve just sworn off men for the past two years. I know my pattern, and until I feel like this wound or whatever it is is no longer there, I just can’t go down that road again.’

Julia has been awaiting the anticipated release of her memoir, Down The Drain, which is slated to hit shelves next month on October 10.
During a recent interview with The New York Times, Fox discussed the ending of the book where she pens that men no longer are attracted to her, which she labeled as ‘newfound freedom.’
The star also explained, ‘I lost a lot of weight, and the comments I was getting were that I’d lost my curves, that I’m not the same as I was in Uncut Gems, that my butt is gone, that I look crazy with my eyebrows, that I’m uglifying myself on purpose.’
She stated, ‘It was incessant. Obviously, I know there are men who would totally hook up with me in a heartbeat, but it’s not what defines me anymore.’
Fox expressed, ‘Before, that was my identity: the hot girl. That’s not me anymore,’ and when asked who ‘she was now,’ the beauty simply answered, ‘A mom.’
In her book, the actress also opens up about her sexual relationships, aside from her ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, whom she briefly dated in 2022.
However, she explained the reason was, ‘Because there, like, wasn’t any. It wasn’t really about that.’
Earlier this month, while talking to E! News, Julia explained that West, also known as Ye, is ‘lightly’ mentioned in the book.
‘It’s like six pages. I feel like I went very lightly on it. I’m not trying to have bad blood or anything, it’s all in the past,’ she expressed to the outlet.
‘More fun’: ‘And I leaned into it. I was, like, Oh, great, they hate me — and I love it. The more they hated me, the more fun it was to keep doing it’; seen earlier this month in NYC

Past relationship: In her book, the actress also opens up about her sexual relationships, aside from her ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, but admitted to The New York Times there ‘wasn’t any sex’ when she dated the rapper; seen in January 2022 in Paris
Down The Drain not only follows her past relationships, but her ‘shocking life’ and unwavering ‘determination’ to pursue her dreams.
However, while discussing her level of fame with The New Yorker, the mother of one admitted that in the future, she hopes, ‘I can disappear and let the work speak for itself.’
‘I have a movie I wrote in the works, other scripts I’d love to develop. I have good TV-show ideas, and none of them have to do with me.’
The star further admitted, ‘Like, I might use some of my experiences, but it’s not the Julia Fox story. I’m just so over Julia Fox, to be honest.’
