We're animal doctors – 4 dog breeds we would never own, they're 'crazy,' 'scary' and have expensive vet bills | The Sun

FROM behavioral issues to medical problems, there is a lot to consider when getting a dog.

A group of animal doctors have shared the breeds they would personally avoid and why.

In the video, the employees at the Charlotte Animal Hospital (@charlotteanimalhospital) revealed the four breeds they would recommend against owning.

Out of the nine experts, four named the same popular canine type as the breed to avoid.

One worker explained: "Frenchies, their skin, neuro, and breathing, they’re adorable but no."

Some of his coworkers agreed that bulldogs have a significant amount of health issues that can make owning them difficult.

One staff member said: "They have far too many problems."

Another specified all the upper respiratory issues that often occur in the breed.

Referring to both French and English bulldogs, another employee explained that owning the breed "would be a lot of free work on my part."

He added: "[I would recommend] for my clients not to own them because they’re very expensive because they have lots of problems."

Another vet clinic worker agreed with the sentiment but still went on to introduce viewers to her new French bulldog puppy.

Other workers were divided on the dog breed they would not advise against owning.

"I can’t believe all these doctors said they’d never own a French bulldog, they’re so cute, I have two," one woman said.

She added: "I don’t think I’d own a German shepherd because they scare me."

Her colleague also named a German shepherd as her least favorite breed, saying she doesn't have the time to deal with their supposedly crazy energy.

Another dog expert named a Caucasian shepherd as the breed she would never avoid while her coworker chose a husky as her answer.

She explained: "They’re very whiney and have a very difficult temperament, and shedding, they do that a lot."

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the breeds.

"Not both of my Frenchies keeping the lights on at this animal hospital," joked one viewer.
