I’m A Celeb’s Marvin Humes lands in Australia as wife Rochelle calls jungle stint ‘crazy’

JLS singer Marvin Humes has landed in Australia ahead of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Marvin, 38, who is married to This Morning host Rochelle, touched down in Oz to join the other stars he will be heading into the jungle with.

As he walked through Brisbane airport, singer Marvin admitted he is in great shape for a jungle shower – but worries he might lose more weight on a rice and beans diet.

He said: "The six pack? I've definitely lost a lot of weight on tour. Yeah and this place I'm going, I'm gonna be losing a little bit more weight. So we'll see how it all plays out.'

Asked if this was perfect timing for the famous jungle shower, he said: "Yes, we'll see."

Marvin and Rochelle share three children, daughters Alaia-Mai, 10, and Valentina, six, and three-year-old son Blake.

"It was tough saying bye to the kids and Rochelle yesterday morning," he admitted.

"But you know what? They're gonna be watching Daddy. So yeah I just need to do them proud."

Asked if they would be allowed to stay up late to watch the show live, he added: "I think that's down to Mummy! she's in charge, as always."

Marvin went on to say it was the first time he had been offered a spot in the jungle.

He said he was excited but when asked if he was scared of snakes and spiders he could meet in the trials, he added: "Oh we'll have to wait and see. It's the first time I've been out to Australia so I'm interested to try some local delicacies."

It comes as Rochelle shared her excitement for Marvin heading on the jungle show, as well as labelling it "crazy".

She revealed he only had one day at home after his tour with JLS before jetting off.

Taking to fans on her Instagram stories, she revealed: "Marvin said, babe, how do you feel about me finishing the tour and then going? So he literally had like one day at home and then he literally has just got to Oz so it is crazy, crazy, it's going to be a whirlwind.

"But I am so excited for him and I just can't wait to watch it. I have something to watch every night at 9 now, it's brilliant."

In a pre-show chat, Marvin said: "When I first told Rochelle, she thought I was doing a prank on her. She thought I was nuts and she still can’t believe I’m doing it!

"This is the most daring thing I have ever done and I have never challenged myself this way before. It’s one million percent harder than performing on stage and I woke up with knots in my stomach this morning thinking about it.

“But this programme has been on my bucket list for years. It’s the first time I’ve been asked to do it so I jumped at the opportunity.”
