Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson’s I’m A Celeb entrance confirmed as ITV teases arrival

Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson have been confirmed for ITV's I'm A Celebrity 2021.

It was announced at the end of Wednesday's episode that the EastEnders star, 53, and Coronation Street star, 47, would be entering the Gwrych Castle camp on Thursday's show.

Adam is best known for his role as Ian Beale on the BBC One soap, which he currently taking a break from, while Simon plays the legendary Steve McDonald on the ITV soap.

Talking about being a late arrival, Adam said: "I’ve known about doing I’m A Celebrity for a long time and I can’t wait to go in now! I don’t mind if I am first or last in the Castle – I am just really looking forward to being on the show."

He added: "Why have I finally said yes? Because I am not in EastEnders! That is the honest answer. I am not in contract with the BBC so I can come and do it.

"Everyone thinks I am Ian Beale and so it’s going to be great to show I am not."

While Simon added: "It was common knowledge I would never do I’m A Celebrity. But my wife and kids were like, ‘Come on Si, you’ve got to do it, you will have fun.’ And so, I’ve said yes! It is something cool for the kids to watch dad scream like a young child!

"I am excited and I know the rest of my cast friends will find it highly amusing I am doing this show!"

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues to air at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub every night.
