BBC Strictly couple dealt crushing blow as star ‘won’t make the final’

It Takes Two: Annabel Croft never thought she’d get a 10

Strictly Come Dancing will see another elimination this weekend – and it’s not looking good for one couple.

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, he believes Annabel Croft and Johanne Radebe will miss out of the final.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Darren said: “Annabel’s journey in this competition has been very interesting over the past few weeks.

“It’s very hit-and-miss. She’ll be having a bad week, and then she’ll pull it back and amaze everyone. This week, you could tell she has been working very hard and wants to prove her place with Johannes.”

He added: “When we look at her body language, Annabel is naturally a timid and introverted person. We can see this as she looks down quite a lot and plays with her fingers as a distraction.

“Growing her confidence has been a huge thing for her in terms of her progress. She’s definitely acknowledged every piece of feedback and embraced every moment. I think she will last a few more weeks, but she won’t make the final.”

On Saturday night, the remaining celebrities and their dance partners will take to the ballroom floor for Musicals Weeks.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell will perform an energetic Salsa to ‘I’ve Had the Time of My Life’ from Dirty Dancing while Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola will dance the Quickstep to ‘Belle’ from Beauty and the Beast.

Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will perform the Charleston to ‘Step in Time’ from Mary Poppins and Annabel and Johannes will Foxtrot to ‘For Good’ from Wicked.

Finally, Layton Williams and his partner Nikita Kuzmin will dance a Paso Doble to ‘Backstage Romance’ from Moulin Rouge.

Last Sunday, Layton landed in the bottom two against Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu.

After a tense dance-off, Angela was sent home after three out of four judges voted to save Layton.

However, Shirley Ballas admitted she would have gone against her fellow judges and saved Angela.

The final for Strictly is fast approaching and later this month, one couple will be crowned the winners of the 2023 series.

But who will be lifting the Glitterball Trophy this year?

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
