Stephen Bear earning £8-a-week in prison gym after moving to a new jail

Stephen Bear is reportedly earning £8-a-week in prison after he was moved to a new jail.

The former reality star, 33, was transferred to HMP Brixton in the south of London, where he works in the prison gym as an orderly.

Whilst working in the gym, his job entails cleaning the facilities, keeping track of fellow prisoners who use the equipment and teaching them how to use it.

But despite his job tiding him over, it pales in comparison to the more than £200,000 in damages he owes ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.

The disgraced reality star, who found fame on MTV's Ex on the Beach and Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother, was sentenced to just under two years in prison for sharing sexual images of the pair on his OnlyFans.

Bear was found guilty in March of voyeurism by a majority verdict and guilty on two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs with intent to cause distress.

He served part of his sentence at HMP Chelmsford in Essex, where he earned just £3-a-week packing tea and coffee.

But sources close to Stephen said that he was "pretty happy" to move away from the Essex jail.

"He was fed up of being called the prison tea boy.

"He thought he would get more respect when he was moved to Brixton and when he got the gym job," they told The Sun.

Bear's beau Jessica Smith was quick to visit the star in his new prison home after being spotted going to the jail on Tuesday (August 8).

Sporting a pink velour Juicy tracksuit, the adult-content model arrived at the visitor's hall in the rain to see her fiancé.

Bear is classified as a Category C prisoner, which describes him as being in "training and resettlement jails that hold prisoners whose escape risk is considered to be low but who cannot be trusted in open conditions".

He is currently based in the prison's largest wing, called the "mains".

HMP Brixton can host more than 800 prisoners and has homed other high-profile prisoners such as the Kray twins and Mick Jagger.
